Chłopcy z Namugongongo nie tylko są doceniani w Polsce. Sukcesy odnoszą także w rodzimym kraju. W tych dniach biorą udział krajowym festiwalu "Youth Alive". Na szczeblu regionalnym zajęli pierwsze miejsce. Już jutro wyjadą, by zmierzyć się z najlepszymi grupami w Ugandzie. Joseph Wandera - wychowawca, który towarzyszył chłopcom w czasie ich pobytu w Polsce - tak pisał, o tym, czym teraz żyje Namugongo:

Tomorrow we are going with some children for the National festivals. On 20th June, we were for central regional festivals and we were the first and so we took the trophie for good since we had been the first for the past two years and this was the third time. Much as we are going tomorrow, we shall have to present our items On sunday, because tomorrow it will be clubs from Northern, North eastern and western Uganda that will present because they come from a far, then it will be six clubs that will present on sunday because we come from near. But all is going on well.
